CAMPAIGN PRIORITIES

PROMISING BUILDINGS, PROMISING PEOPLE

Generous contributions by corporations, SAIT alumni, staff and students has resulted in the success of our objective to raise $75 million towards construction of the largest expansion in the history of SAIT - the Trades and Technology Complex.

In addition, the Government of Alberta acknowledged the importance of the project by investing $300 million of the construction project.

Through the generosity of these individuals, corporations and government, SAIT has reached a significant milestone in the Promising Futures™ Campaign.

The new Trades and Technology Complex, including the Aldred Centre, Johnson-Cobbe Energy Centre and the new Power Centre, will provide excellent learning environments for students in the MacPhail School of Energy, School of Construction and School of Manufacturing and Automation. The Complex will include the Enerplus Innovation Centre and the Career Exploration Centre.

Now that we've met the demand, the next goal of the Promising Futures™ Campaign is to ensure SAIT students have the best study tools and the financial resources to allow them to concentrate on their studies and successfully graduate so they can meet their personal goals.

Subsequently, SAIT has set a new target to raise an additional $25 million to ensure students will:

  • Have the most up-to-date technology and equipment to gain experience with tools they will encounter in industry.

  • Benefit from having curricula and programs available to meet their educational needs.

  • Have access to more scholarships and bursaries that reward academic excellence and to remove financial barriers for students who couldn’t otherwise gain a post-secondary education.

  • Be Inspired

Two families give an inspiring gift to the Trades and Technology Complex. The West Wing of the Complex will now be named the Johnson-Cobbe Energy Centre.
