Milestones:
- A combined gift of $4 million from Susan and Doug Ramsay and Ron Mathison. In honour of their generosity, the third floor of the Johnson-Cobbe Energy Centre will be named the Ramsay Centre for Petroleum Engineering Technology and included on the floor will be ther Mathison Drilling and Geosciences Lab Suite.
- $7 million from Jane and Stan Grad. In recognition of their give the Heart Building will be named the Stan Grad Centre. In addition, Stan Grad requested that the SAIT Library be named after his former instructor and mentor, Reg Erhardt.
- $10 million from Connie and Murray Cobbe and Barbara and David Johnson. SAIT named the West Wing of the complex the Johnson-Cobbe Energy Centre to honour their generosity.
- $15 million from John and Cheryl Aldred of Calgary. SAIT will name the Centre Wing of the Trades and Technology Complex the Aldred Centre in honour of this history-making contribution.
- $10 million from the Founding Builders Leadership Circle, an elite group of industry leaders from the residential construction sector.
- $5 million from Enerplus Resources Fund to name the Enerplus Innovation Centre.
- $10 million from Keith MacPhail, PT '81, Chairman and CEO of Bonavista Energy Trust. SAIT named the MacPhail School of Energy in his honour.

Calgary based Gibbs Gage Architects is recognized as an industry leader for its innovative and award-winning design. Since its inception in 1983, it has become one of the largest architectural firms in Western Canada. Some of its best known projects are the Round-Up Centre at Stampede Park, the Banff Centre and Eighth Avenue Place twin high-rise office complex in downtown Calgary, formerly know as the Penny Lane Towers.
